As a core enterprise of HNA Group, CCOOP adheres to the "Shop, Network, Platform, Chain, Investment" development strategy and an international perspective. It has built a new "Supply-Distribution" business model integrated with the "Four Industries + One Investment" framework. Leveraging internet, modern logistics, and financial tools, CCOOP integrates global high-quality commodity resources, coordinates the layout of the "Three Networks" (urban-rural physical distribution network, e-commerce network, and logistics and distribution network), and strives to become an international benchmark in China’s retail industry
Business Challenges
CCOOP covers diverse formats including retail, social commerce, cross-border trade, cold chain, supermarkets, department stores, duty-free, and wholesale. However, fragmented systems hinder effective collaborative operation and management. Additionally, the group’s large scale and traditional architecture struggle to adapt to the rapid changes in new retail scenarios. Specifically, the core challenges include: 1) management complexity arising from multi-level organizational structures and multiple operating/settlement entities; 2) difficulties in integrating national agricultural, production, and trade resources across diverse formats and business models; 3) pressures in unified management, operation, and data analysis across multi-scenarios, cross-role collaboration, as well as data coordination, interface standardization, and system architecture support for massive business volumes.
Solution
The cloud-based middle office built by ODY for CCOOP is one of China’s early landmark middle office projects. Integrating omni-channel and multi-format operations (including B2B, B2C, O2O, and ERP) with internal management, it covers diverse scenarios such as supermarkets, convenience stores, department stores, shopping malls, and bulk trade, forming a truly integrated omni-channel operation system. Capable of supporting a peak transaction volume of 5 million orders per day, the solution boasts first-tier internet e-commerce-level technical capabilities, providing end-to-end digital support for CCOOP.
Achievements
Leveraging CCOOP’s middle office project, the group has expanded its reach to over 100 national-level poverty-stricken counties and established more than 30 agricultural specialty central warehouses. With an online transaction volume of 10.5 billion yuan, it has registered 15,000 merchants and empowered 2,404 county-level supply and marketing cooperatives, 29,016 grassroots cooperatives, 147,000 various types of cooperatives, and 340,000 grassroots business outlets.
